Uniquely designed to sit atop the upcoming Chapel, historical artifacts of our church and island will soon have a new home. The upcoming museum will become the Archdiocese of Agaña’s treasure chest of history and tradition.
The newly constructed second floor of the present construction site will hold historical items that tell the story of our rich past. Items such as antique statues, Blessed Diego’s cassock, and ancient stones will be featured in the new museum.
Like the upcoming Chapel, the museum is fully funded by anonymous donors in the Archdiocese of Agaña. Although the museum will give a new face to history in our island’s capital city, it will retain its original identity as the National Museum of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica.
Completion of the upcoming museum is scheduled around October of this year.
