Team Works: Cathedral-Basilica Presents Community Workshop on Workforce Readiness

The Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica will conduct a three-day workshop entitled "Team Works". The workshop will be held from September 13-15 from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Cathedral-Basilica Conference Center in Hagåtña (facing the Plaza de España). Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The sessions will focus on discovering type using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), effective communication, and team building. The MBTI is the most widely used personality instrument in the world, used in most Fortune 100 companies and backed by over 60 years of research. The workshop will help individuals understand the dynamics of personality and its effect on the workplace. By understanding one's self and others, participants will walk away with confidence and the tools to be better employees, managers, and leaders.

The workshop will be presented by Human Resources and organizational development professionals: Dr. Karri T. Perrez, Dr. Richard Colfax, and Mr. John J. Rivera, PMBA. Both Dr. Colfax and Mr. Rivera are MBTI & EQ-I certified.

The three-day workshop is free to all qualifying applicants. Applicants must fall within the 200% poverty guideline (indicated by previous year's tax filing or last two pay stubs), provide proof of US Citizenship and proof of Guam residency. Unemployed individuals may also qualify for the workshop. Space is limited to the first 30 qualifying applicants. Pre-qualifying interviews may also be scheduled to answer any questions.
