Register For Workforce Readiness Workshop |
 The Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica will conduct a three-day workshop entitled "Team Work|s". The workshop will be held from September 13-15 from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Cathedral-Basilica Conference Center in Hagatna (facing the Plaza de Espana).The workshop is free to all qualifying applicants. Applicants must fall within the 200% federal poverty guideline (indicated by your last year's tax filing or your last two pay stubs), show proof of residency and U.S. Citizenship. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Register For Religious Education and RCIA Program |
|
The parish is now accepting registration for Religious Education (CCD) and the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program. Please note that registration is only open for registered parishioners of the Cathedral-Basilica. If you are not a registered parishioner, you are asked to schedule a meeting with one of our parish priests.
Registration is open for Kindergarten thru 11th grade (including Saramental Classes: e.g. Reconciliation, Pre-Confirmation, etc.) and will end on August 31.
Individuals interested in enrolling for the RCIA program may also register at this time. A meeting with a parish priest is required.

San Lorenzo Ruiz Statue To Be Enshrined |

On Sunday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Cathedral-Basilica will welcome the image of San Lorenzo Ruiz at the 9:30 AM which will be presided by Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron. The statue will then be enshrined in a newly constructed niche in the basilica's naive. San Lorenzo is the first Filipino saint to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church. He is the patron of migrants and overseas foreign workers.
The San Lorenzo Ruiz Global Ministries is credited for spreading the devotion to the beloved saint of the Philippines. The organization has worked tirelessly to bring similar images of the saint to places like the United States, Hong Kong, and other parts of Asia. All are invited to attend this special and historic celebration for the Filipino communities on Guam and the entire faithful. |

Register For Teen Timeline Workshops |

Chances are you're probably too busy to ready the Bible. Or maybe you're intimidated by not being able to understand Sacred Scripture? Well, don't worry too much longer. The Cathedral-Basilica is inviting everyone to take a summer adventure into understanding the Bible in a fun and less confusing way. The Teen Timeline (T3) will help you being to understand the basic "story" of the Bible, how the 73 books go together and which ones you'll need to read in order to see the plot and learn how the characters fit together.
Through an exciting DVD presentation, youth, young adults, Catechists, and anyone else who's interested in the Bible are invited to attend the T3 Workshops as part of the Catholic Education Series. From the workshops, you'll walk away knowing more about the joys of life and how the Church can be relevant to you today as it was for the biblical characters of old.
Registration is $49.95 per person and includes materials and light refreshments. The workshop is comprised of four sessions in the span of just two weeks from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. beginning July 26. Here is the complete schedule:

Catholic Enrichment Series Begins Second Round of Workshops |

The second workshop session featuring An Introduction to the Theology of the Body in the Cathedral-Basilica's Catholic Enrichment Series begins on Monday, July 12. The sesssion is comprised of 4 separate workshops and will be held on Mondays and Thursdays for the next two weeks in the parish Conference Center from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Registration is $49.95 per person and includes light refreshments and session materials.
