In the absence of Instituted Acolytes, the Altar Servers assist the priest at Mass by carrying the Cross & candles, assisting the priest with the book, incense, water & wine. Altar Servers, through their actions and role in the liturgy, constantly aim to be prayerful models for the congregation.
